Nu jazz and Acid jazz reached popularity among hipsters in the 80’s and the 90’s, characterized by the intersection of jazz, R&B and hip-hop.  In the 2010/20’s’s, Nu jazz has been reborn, now with more eclectic intersections including vaporwave/sampling, experimental jazz, smooth jazz/yacht rock, indie and even classical crossover. 

This mostly Downtempo playlist captures late 2024 and early 2025 Nu jazz/vaporware releases, along with a few old nuggets, and will make for intriguing background music.
